Tucked away well off the beaten path, Bella Luna is a sudden pop of personality and color. Although it’s not situated in a high-traffic area, Bella Luna has an unmistakable charm all its own.
“We’re in the people business as much as the food business,” says owner Harry Stephens.
From the first step in the door, Bella Luna has a small and cozy feeling that is accentuated by the personality and quirky design. Stephens explains that Bella Luna was always going to be a family restaurant, with a focus on hospitality and warmth.
“The decorations in here are sort of an homage to my childhood,” Stephens says, referring to the mismatched colors and styles. “We always had hand-me-downs, nothing new.”
Eating a meal at Bella Luna is as much about the experience as the flavor. From the live music of the Bluebirds Trio, with Stephens himself on the mic, to the hospitality of the staff and the atmosphere inside, Bella Luna is a restaurant with heart.
