In early 2024, residents of Kings Mills and the surrounding area will have greater access to health care services with the opening of Mercy Health’s newest state-of-the-art hospital.

“Recognizing the importance of having healthcare services close to home, Mercy Health conducted extensive research and engaged in conversations with community leaders and other key stakeholders to determine the ideal location for the hospital,” says Jason Asic, President of Mercy Health — Kings Mills Hospital.

“By strategically locating the Kings Mills Hospital in this bustling area, Mercy Health aims to provide convenient access to health care services for the local population and those in the area for recreational purposes,” he says.

Asic adds that planning for the new hospital included considering the potential for future expansion and the community’s evolving needs. “Mercy Health understands that healthcare requirements can change over time, and the hospital has been designed with flexibility in mind. This allows for potential growth and the ability to adapt to emerging healthcare trends and technologies.”

Mercy Health’s care network emphasizes the importance of “care close to home,” Asic says. Strategic locations such as Kings Mills ensure that residents have easy access to care, without traveling far from their homes or communities.

It’s a strategy that also prioritizes holistic care, and the new Kings Mills Hospital will provide a wide range of services, including cardiac and surgical services, emergency care, imaging and more.

“Our medical office building will offer ENT, audiology, pulmonology, orthopedics, cardiology, general surgery and lab services,” Asic explains. “It will be staffed by highly skilled health care professionals dedicated to delivering compassionate care to every patient.”

The opening is just one component of Mercy Health — Cincinnati’s “commitment to building a comprehensive care network across Cincinnati,” he notes. “With soon-to-be six hospitals, expanding urgent care locations, primary care physicians, and a wide range of specialties, Mercy Health strategically positions its facilities and services throughout the city to provide convenient and comprehensive care.”

Mercy Health will host a family-friendly community open house on Saturday, Jan.13, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Kings Mills Hospital, 5440 Kings Island Drive, Mason, OH 45040. For more information, visit mercy.com/kingsmills.
