Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl quarterback Andy Dalton and his wife, Jordan, hosted parents of seriously ill and special needs children to a quiet, all-expense-paid private dinner by Chef Todd Kelly of Orchids at Palm Court at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza on April 26.
While parents enjoyed a date night, Andy and Jordan, along with childcare partner, Skidaddles, entertained the children through various activities, including a Cheers to Art painting session, a Build-A-Bear Workshop bear making station, video games, face painting, obstacle courses, a photo booth and a kid-friendly dinner.
“This program means a lot to us,” shared Andy Dalton. “Jordan and I make it a priority to have a date night as often as we can. We hope that by giving the parents a worry-free night, they’re truly able to focus on each other and keep their bond strong, if only for an hour or two.”
“Date Night” is one of five programs initiated by the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation, which continues its mission of providing opportunities, support and resources to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in the Greater Cincinnati area. The programs are funded by signature events like the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation Golf Scramble and Celebrity Waiter Night.
