Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation Host Date Night

Every day, volunteers are rallying their communities across the country in support of nonprofits that are shaping the world for the better. Together, the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation and Northwestern Mutual-Cincinnati are making a difference in the Cincinnati community by hosting a date night to provide parents caring for seriously ill and special needs children a night out.

“When kids are diagnosed with these illnesses and disabilities, the stress is not just on them, but on the parents as well,” said Dalton. “Date Night gives these parents a chance to just relax and enjoy themselves while we take care of the kids and have some fun.”

Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl Quarterback, Andy Dalton, and his wife, Jordan, along with Northwestern Mutual-Cincinnati Managing Partner, Shawn Kelley, and his wife, Natalie, hosted 25 couples to a quiet, expenses-paid private dinner by Chef Todd Kelly of Orchids at Palm Court at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.

Meanwhile, local, Northwestern Mutual financial representatives joined Andy and Jordan as well as childcare partner, Skidaddles, to entertain the children through various activities like Cheers to Art painting sessions, Wii games provided by Prestige Audio Visual, photo booths, an ice cream sundae bar and more.

“Northwestern Mutual has a legacy of helping families in our community,” said Shawn Kelley, managing partner, Northwestern Mutual-Cincinnati. “We are excited to partner with the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation for this great event. Our similar interests offer a way to extend support to families and children in the area.”

As a part of the company’s 2015 Community Service Awards, Northwestern Mutual-Cincinnati presented a check for $15,000 to the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation to support their community outreach programs and mission to aid in-need families.

In addition to the generosity and support of Foundation partners like Northwestern Mutual-Cincinnati, community outreach programs of the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation also receive funding through events like Celebrity Waiter Night. On the evening of Monday, June 1, Dalton and teammates will serve cocktails and dinner to over 200 guests at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza. Attendees will mingle with their favorite Bengals and participate in thrilling auctions to benefit the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation.
