Recently, the staff of the Deupree House retirement community in Hyde Park planned a fun and entertaining home tour for guests to get a glimpse of many of the apartments.
"The tour of homes was a rare chance to see a variety of floor plans that are already beautifully furnished," said Maddie Rosenberger, events coordinator for Deupree House. "In addition to seeing residents’ homes, the staff-led tours were buzzing with excited guests who wanted to see more of what our community offers residents."
Home tours are, in essence, are all about exploring interior design styles, extraordinary finishes and furnishings. Whether guests of the home tour were already on the waiting list for an apartment or just dreaming about it, the event offered a peek at the beautiful homes of Deupree House.
Cece Mooney enjoyed the opportunity to entertain. "I was glad to offer my home as part of the tour and show what senior living is like at Deupree House," she said.
While Deupree House offers standard design packages of carpet, paint and cabinetry, there are many residents who like to customize their homes to meet their needs and tastes. Deupree House residents love to show off their homes and meet the visitors.
"There were so many visitors who I knew. It was wonderful to see old friends and meet new people," said Deupree House resident Glenna Light.
The popularity of the event was notable, and it is scheduled again for November. To add your name to the guest list, contact Maddie Rosenberger at 513.878.2422, or mrosenberger@erslife.org.
