When you think of a wedding, what do you see? Beautifully arranged floral displays, gorgeous bride and bridesmaids’ dresses, a delicious three-tiered cake? What if you also saw aerial acrobats, fire eaters, jugglers and balloon artists?
Founded in 2002, Cincinnati Circus Company provides a novel twist to your wedding entertainment, literally taking your event to new heights. The company performs events all over the country, providing more than 200 different forms of entertainment. The circus performs at outdoor events such as church festivals and weddings, as well as their indoor corporate events with themes that range from game day to casino night.
Max Cormendy, manager at the Cincinnati Circus Company, says that every guest walks away from their events with a large smile. “Beautiful people are doing beautiful, extraordinary things like flying through the air with fire or are 10-foot tall and juggling. It takes a special bride to book the circus for her wedding. It’s unexpected for guests, but it is our job to make sure every last person is awed and entertained on her special day.
“It is not our goal to steal the show. It is our goal to provide an atmosphere and environment that takes their celebration to a new level.”
Cincinnati Circus provides two styles of wedding services. The first is strolling entertainment that could involve an acrobat pouring your drink from high in the air or stilt walkers inviting guests into the reception room. The second style is the performance of one of their touring shows that lasts for 20 to 30 minutes. Whatever style a bride chooses, it is still all about the bride and groom on their special day.
“We can do an event that is entirely for adults, classy and tasteful, but we also have weddings with 30-40 kids and our shows can appeal to them as well,” Cormendy says. “The circus makes everyone a kid again. Everyone leaves happy and entertained, no matter what your age.”
