On August 2, 2014 Tim and Stephanie Haubrock joined hands in marriage at St. Michael Catholic Church. A reception followed at the Newport Aquarium.
Tim proposed on New Year’s Eve in the early evening. They were in the car when Tim asked Stephanie what her favorite part of the previous year was. She told him that the vacation they had taken together over that summer was the highlight of her year. Tim quickly responded: “Well, I’m about to change that.” Just then he pulled to the side of the road and pulled out the ring. Stephanie was completely shocked.
The Haubrock wedding and reception consisted of 200 guests with seven groomsmen, six bridesmaids and three ushers in the wedding party. The coral and gold color scheme gave the day a classic and elegant feel. The first dance was to a song called “More Than Anyone” by Gavin DeGraw. Gavin actually came to town weeks before the wedding and Tim surprised Stephanie with tickets to his concert. Talk about a great wedding gift!
A Spoon Fulla Sugar did a fantastic job on the Haubrock’s beautiful and delicious wedding cake. The cake had four different layers: red velvet, hummingbird, white with cookies-and-cream filling and chocolate with raspberry filling. Everyone was very impressed by the originality and taste of the cake.
Zack Karaman at Karaman Jewelers took great care of Tim and Stephanie making a somewhat stressful purchase easy and truly enjoyable. Stephanie's engagement ring has a split band with diamonds and a halo detail around the center stone. Her wedding band is an infinity band with diamonds all around. Tim's wedding band is cobalt with unique etched line details.
Stephanie’s favorite moment was the intense feeling of happiness she felt when she walked down the aisle and saw Tim. It was a feeling she will never forget. The couple also loved the time spent on the party bus with the wedding party between the wedding and the reception.
An exquisite meal by Chef’s Choice Catering and incredible photography done by Kim Claire Photography topped off an incredible wedding, one that surpassed even the couple’s wildest dreams.
The day was followed by a unique honeymoon experience. The plan was to fly to Las Vegas for two nights before flying to Maui from there. An hour before Tim and Stephanie were leaving for the airport, they got a call from Tim’s mother informing them of two hurricanes headed for Maui. They were able to change their plans last minute and ended up going to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It was an absolutely incredible trip. They were lucky to have someone keeping up with the weather!
