Amanda Cacaro and Madison Miller of Amanda’s Hyde Park Bridal took a moment to share what’s new in wedding dresses for 2015 with LEAD Cincinnati. Check out the gallery controls on the upper right part of the page to see all the styles Amanda's talking about.
LEAD Cincinnati: What dress trends did you see on the runways during Bridal Fashion Week?
Amanda’s Hyde Park Bridal: Lots and lots of low backs! Brides have wanted to show their sexy side more and more with a low back. It is a great way to take a step away from being your traditional, conservative bride in a very tasteful way without being too scandalous. Side cutouts are also becoming a way to show a little sex appeal in your bridal look. Kim Kardashian did it right by covering the cutouts with a classic lace and a lot of designers are doing the same. While strapless gowns are still extremely popular and probably always will be, we are also seeing designers having more fun with gowns with straps. When you have a low back, chances are you have to have a strap to support the dress and designers are really making them unique whether it be with gorgeous beading, studs or even fringe.
LC: Color was big in 2014; do you think it will continue in 2015? If so what new colors are available?
LC: We definitely think that color will continue into 2015. At Bridal Fashion Week in New York we saw a ton of blush tones for the fall 2015 season. Blush is clearly our favorite color and we hope that this trend will continue for seasons to come. Different takes on champagne and taupe linings are also becoming even more popular than they already were. Another technique designers are doing is layering fabrics/tulle colors to create their own unique color. Hayley Paige has a color called “Alabaster” that consists of champagne lining with blush, blue, yellow and ivory tulle to make it a grey/purple color that brides are loving. Colors in bridal gowns are often paired with an ivory lace or ivory tulle overlay so it tones down the brightness and makes it more subtle.

LC: What can brides expect to find at Amanda’s Hyde Park Bridal in 2015?
LC:We will continue to provide the one of a kind, personalized experience that our Cincinnati brides have been looking for. We pride ourselves in having unique, exclusive designers that offer something for both the classic and the nontraditional bride. With new dresses coming in to the shop in both spring and fall, we like to think that
we are constantly offering fresh inventory that our brides are always looking forward to seeing. We recently added two new designers to our shop. We already have a good amount of beautiful Paloma Blanca gowns in the shop but are super excited about the arrival of the Pronovias gowns that we ordered. Lots of lace, sparkle and new styles that we haven’t had in the past will be coming our way.
LC: How can brides use accessories to make their wedding look unique to them and their style?
AHPB: Accessories are a great way to make your wedding day look unique. Bridal belts and sashes especially are our favorite way to bling up your wedding dress and make it your own. Another bride may choose the same gown as you, but chances are you chose different belts to make it fit your taste. Our Haute Bride jewelry and hairpieces are also a huge staple at Hyde Park Bridal. You can customize any of their earrings, necklaces, hair combs, belts, etc. to make them your own and possibly add a pop of color to make them stand out. Another gorgeous accessory trend is the idea of adding a beautiful beaded bolero or crystal straps to change the look of a strapless gown.
