The Bridal Event 2016 by Venue Magazine was held on Sunday, February 21 at one of OTR’s newest and loveliest sites, The Transept. A historic church has been transformed into a world-class venue. As it formerly stood, Old St. John’s was the first German-American congregation in Cincinnati. The German gothic design boasts 50-foot vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows and authentic ornate detailing in the doors and doorways. The Transept is beautifully situated on the southwest corner of Washington Park. It is an ideal location for weddings, meetings, receptions and social gatherings.
On this day, The Transept was bustling with smiling brides. They were greeted by two young men in black-tie attire on 10-foot stilts opening the white gothic doors into The Transept foyer. After registration, the brides were welcomed by another black-tie attired man and offered a blush-colored drink prepared especially for this event. These women felt special from the very start!
Vendors filled all three levels of the cozy space, ready to offer information, pricing and help from limousine service to catering to honeymooning locales. Delectable delights and wine samples were available for tasting. Brides were also able to schedule appointments for hair, make-up and nails as a way to decide what they like best for their big day. This pampering was a nice reprieve of fun and relaxation during the often stressful wedding planning. The day was not only a treat for the brides but was also enjoyed by sisters, mothers, grandmothers and friends of the brides. The Bridal Event 2016 was elegant and perfect, just as these brides will be on their special day.
A special thanks to all of our vendors, guests and volunteers who made The Bridal Event a roaring success yesterday!
